ReplyDeleteI have this idea for "Support Characters". Basically, during character selection, players get to choose a secondary non playable character(or is playable). This character grants a single ability, similiar in the way of coolers abilities such as his clone farm ability, mana drain, self repair, and teleport. These abilities range from a slight increase to nuke damage (Such as 2.5%), an ability that allows them to dash forward, a skill shot nuke that doesn't do as much damage as a normal nuke, maybe even one that heals 5% hp on use. I was thinking these abilities could possibly be based on the hero's stats if that's possible.

ReplyDeleteHey sup Adam. I really love your map and really think it has a big potential in overall. As much as I like your map though, I was just talking with my friends about a good game that has just derived from success into total mess, and this has struck my mind. Your map is basically all cool early game, seriously, early and mid game are the main points when I'm excited. What I really don't dig is the late game. Running around in hours and hoping you're not against a krillin (or now tien) is just sad. All you do is just chase around somebody and dodge spells. And overall it's not that rewarding when the guy just dies and revives instantly. That game overall in the end turns into a huge "Who's got the highest stats" fest. My suggestion, long ago suggested, is that you could make beams more rewarding, and maybe for some characters even melee more rewarding. So let me just propose some suggestions in a little list, you might like them you might hate them, the hardest question is: How can we balance it the way it won't ruin early game and instead just help late game ?
Suggestion for spellcasters:
Make some spells do Health % damage (basically the way you designed Tien's spell, he loses health but also does 10% hp damage)
it could be awesome if you just added spell masteries as spells that are gainable at high levels like gohan with kamehameha mastery ? But instead of gaining extra damage, the spell would gain a unique effect of adding extra hp% damage on it (would be even cooler if characters can add it on only 1 of their spells and choose which one probably, each one gaining different bonus , pure dmg, hp %dmg, slow, stun etc. ) This is basically my little suggestion for spells. Now moving on to the melee attacks
Melee suggestion:
As we know, f.trunks, gero etc. stat grinders, are really not so useful with their spells in 1v1 combat, but they really excel at strong autoattacks, lifesteal, extra dmg. but what i've learned is that their burden is a bit too big, they don't get enough love in my opinion, sure its all fun early and mid game, but lategame they just don't get through so well. Of course adding heal to gero finally made a healer out of him, (I just remembered) , but ft still doesn't move around so freely with his uss2.
The way you could balance auto-attacking and maybe even making it useful is maybe adding choice between masteries, choose spell or melee mastery as last masteries = choice between extra steroid for auto-attacks or to be a strong spellmaster in the end? For example, you don't have to always be a spellcaster in the end, you could have a special powerup that lets you have pure attack damage, %hp per attack (N'aix style, u steal their current %hp and heal it back at you) or armor pen/spell pen (making it a more of a team effort, if you would gain spell penetration on auto-attacks, and let your teammates just use their op shit to finish the enemy off).
Little suggestion based on my suggestions =D:
Also healers cud power up their heal to be giving back mana for example, or make autoattack spell penetrating (dende)
Anyways my idea of making the lategame worth something is adding some extra cool spell in the end like gohan has, but also make it possible not only spellcasting to be effective end game.
Late game can get a bit boring, for sure. Looking into solutions for it. We've already got good tools for hunting enemies down, but the heroes that can run in circles for an hour will continue to do so. I'm thinking more crowd control may be needed. Some stuns here, some slows there, what have you. Or maybe alternative ways to bring the game to a close that don't involve spawn camping. Or even some mastery things late game.

The tourny would be quite imbalanced judging by the amount of leavers and maybe even some game crashes . Adam shud first fix those crashes (which i see quite less frequently atm, kudos Adam dunno if u fixed them) .
Deletebut yeah, my suggestion is like give characters to be able to have some sort of powerup at the end of their last transformation , eg. Goku gets it at 150. Turles gets new skill at his last fruit.
Also to my suggestion what i said, u can also add tanky attributes like spell shield or damage reduction from everything . u have a lot of stuff there tho like crit and evasion so its hard to actually tweak them right . but in my opinion going this kind of teamplay style where u have tank healer dps is kinda nice for the change of the game pace a bit, and for the lategame definitely. since stat modding is now allowed u know.

20000 int x 0.07 x 18x Spell = 1.26 x 20000 int in pure damage ( always )
Where as 20000 int x 18x Spell x 7% Damage taken ( 93% Damage reduction ) = 0.07 x 18 x 20000 = 25200 Damage ( would decrease when %dmg taken goes lower )
But if the %dmg taken goes to 3% ( 97% reduction )
it'd be 0.03 x 18 x 20000 = 10800 Damage
This would slightly increase the damage in the late game without changing the early game or any point when they don't have greater than 93% reduction.
I think the armor doesn't affect the spell damage as much as the regular Hero spell resist does (35%) . U cud change armor types for some heroes to be resistant to spells or fragile to spells, that way we cud have dps and tank characters for example

ReplyDeleteI assume most of you people are aware of Bleach vs One Piece. In said map, they have a team vs team fight every 5-10 minutes. I think it would be great if something similar could be implemented to this map.

ReplyDeleteI'm actually suggesting Frieza il try to make this a balanced charater as in the suggestion.
first of all here are her skills and transformations.
Frieza starts of with his first changeling form.(He get's no abilities)
At lvl 35 he gets his 2nd changeling form +150 stats with that.(He get's an ability called Frieza punch that knocks people and stuns them like Broly's energy punch-strx2damage)
At lvl 65 he gets his 3rd changeling form +300 stats with that(He get's death beam-intx2damage)
At lvl 95 he gets his 4th and final changeling form+900 stats with that(He get's deathball-intx3.5damage(and the other abilities punch and beam stay with it.)
At lvl 150 he gets Mecha Frieza he eventually needs lvl 150 and all Namek Sagas done so he can transform into Mecha and he should get a 0.400x or 0.300x multiplier with the transformation into Mecha he gets the abilities i suggested with an improved death ball intx4.5 damage or intx4damage.Well that's my suggestion feel free to judge if it's op or does it suck i just wanted to give a suggestion to the community even if Frieza is a saga he can be an intresting character.
