  • Quick movement following now teleports you where the enemy initially teleported to instead of their current position. Also gives the chaser the fleet-footed buff to compensate for the potential gap

  • Started work on updating the map to be much easier to modify and add content for.
  • Saga heroes now only base their stats on main heroes
  • Started work on implementing a new hero
  • Starting Hell creeps are now weaker
  • Fixed a bug with Bebi
  • Broly now spawns sooner.
  • Goku now has 7 levels of dragon fist
  • Increased cast range on dragon fist

  • Replaced Cell’s wind walk with a sense androids ability
    • In the future there will be a rework of the androids
  • Disabled lockon
  • Quick movement has a base 6 second cooldown
  • Quick movement now has a short cast time
  • fixed a bug with super 17’s multiplier
  • Revive ticket bug should be fixed
  • Duels should work a little better now
  • Implemented a new system to visualize poorly defined regions (Currenly used to show where to stand to follow a quick movement)
  • Added feathers to the tournament entrance
  • You can now follow an enemy that quick moves away by standing where they teleported from (Similar to following lockon.) Allies cannot follow as they can simply quick move to the hero.

099i Changelog (Controversy edition)

  • Angry Explosion no longer hurts allies or neutral units
  • Nuclear bomb no longer hurts allies or neutral units
  • Nuclear bomb now deals the same damage over 2 seconds (from 3)
  • Pressure Point mana cost does not increase with levels
  • Grenade level requirement reduced to 25
  • Grenade no longer hurts allies. Still hurts Tao.
  • Exploding 19 now does int*16 damage.
  • Angry Explosion is usable in the final battle again and it does not hide buu if he’s up there.
  • Fixed a bug with heroes not properly gaining their levels when leveled up by allies.
  • *Bebi should no longer receive broken stats when taking an allied body

099g Changelog (Controversy edition)

  • Changed the model for focus
  • Rewrote a few things
  • Focuses no longer have collision
  • Focuses can no longer enter the gravity chamber.
  • Future androids cannot use quick movement until Future Gohan dies.
  • Focuses are moved to the final battle with your heroes.
  • First focus use has a 90 second recharge timer. Second and third still add 60 seconds.
  • Added a visual effect that shows the direction people are quick moving in
  • Made progress on a level up remake. Reason: It should fix a lot of leveling related bugs. It will streamline things such as character creation and the systems used under the hood will also allow for more interesting things to be added to the game later. Functionally it shouldn't feel much different in the game. May have bugs. Please report if so.
  • Super 17 fusion no longer reduces your total stats. May be overpowered.
  • Gero’s eye beam required level set to 1
  • Gero’s androids now have the same amount of upgrades as creeps.
  • Android 19 no longer dies when Gero dies.
  • Create 19 removed.
  • 19 automatically summons at the supercomputer’s location when Gero reaches level 35.
  • 19 automatically revives at the supercomputer 30 seconds after dying.

099f Changelog (Controversy edition)

  • Bonus vision is shared with allies
  • New mechanic: Focus
    • Every player has a helper unit (Called a focus)
      • Your focus is considered a worker and can be selected with ` (idle worker hotkey)
      • Your focus unit can be used to modify your stat training
      • Your focus can move around anywhere on Earth.
      • You can teleport to the location of your focus
      • You can revive at the location of your focus
      • You can also revive and teleport to an allied hero’s location (focus ability)
      • You have 3 charges of a “quick movement” (teleport) ability. If you use it once, you will have 2 charges and your charges will be restored after 60 seconds. If you use 2, your charges will be restored 120 seconds after the first use. If you use 3, you are locked out of quick movement until your charges are restored (180 seconds)
  • Bebi no longer creates vision when in a body
  • Hercule can no longer enter the tournament when Bebi is in his body.
  • Cell Jrs should no longer spawn at the final battle if they’re dead.
  • Buu cannot use angry explosion in the final battle
  • Evil players should no longer be improperly defeated.

099e Changelog

  • Remade Laser shot to hopefully improve performance
  • Removed trees from the top level of the final battle
  • Reworked Turles’ spells
  • Updated donor list
  • Continued the rework of 17/18’s beam ability
  • Future Gohan should now be fully functional again
  • Re-added the twin training regeneration bonus
  • Began a rework of the leveling up system
  • Replaced sense with an experimental feature. For every agility point you get, your hero’s sight radius is increased by 1. This sight is not shared with allies.

099d Changelog

  • Sacred water cooldown reduced to 15 seconds.
  • Dende’s healing has a base cooldown of 11 seconds and increases by 1 with each level.
  • Dende’s crit damage per level changed to +10%, from +15%.
  • Dende’s min-max dodge chance to 12-40, from 10-24.

099c Changelog

  • Updated donor list
  • Reworked Future 17/18’s abilities. May improve performance ingame.
  • Fixed Hercule’s buffs not actually being buffed
  • Hercule kick required level to 3 (from 10)
  • Hercule kick level skip requirement to 6 (from 5)
    • Levels needed to get the next level of the ability
  • Future Gohan spawns immediately

DBZ Tribute: The sequel?

Hello, friends. If you missed the news, Valve just released a map editor for Dota 2. After reading up on it, I'm pretty excited for the future of wc3-style custom games. And being pretty invested in a few maps for it, I of course want to think long term about the future of the games and their community. With that in mind, I'm starting a project to explore the idea of bringing a map in the spirit of DBZ Tribute to Dota 2. More details to come. But here's where it gets fun: Everyone is invited. It will be a very open project. Overview:

Who's making it?
I'm not going to have enough time to do this myself. For that reason, anyone that wants to take the time to learn the tools is invited to be part of the team. Just add ikcilapmada on skype and let me know that you're interested.

What's being made?
I've got two projects in mind: One is a DBZ Tribute port and the other is developed alongside it using the same basic mechanics but in an original world.

When is the project starting?
Now.

Why Dota 2?
A few reasons:

  • The game and the editor are completely free and anyone can use them.
  • The player base for Dota 2 is currently huge.
  • Dota 2 and its editor are in constant development, whereas wc3 hasn't seen any significant updates in a long time.
  • The editor looks incredibly powerful
  • There is a very large amount of people developing content for the game.
  • There will (probably) be very few limits on the size of the map. This means a lot of highly detailed models (probably) can be added. One of the biggest issues with wc3 was trying to keep the map size under a few MB. You never really had the freedom to do a full conversion map with wc3.
  • It looks beautiful.
