This is a follow up to the previous post. Attached to this post will be every imported file used within the map. Anyone that wishes to edit them by modifying textures, creating new skins, changing animations, etc. is welcome to do so. I'll be including some tutorials in the near future.


Recommended tools:

  • Mdlvis - User friendly program for editing animations, vertices, etc.
  • War3modeleditor - Does everything that Mdlvis won't. Make portraits, particle emitters, attachment points, animated textures, etc.
  • BLP Lab - Convert .blp files to an image format that is editable in your program of choice. (Recommend GIMP or Photoshop)

What you can do:

  • Create your own custom skins for heroes (tutorial coming soon)
    • Anyone that makes a skin will automatically have access to the skin they have created.
    • You can decide who can use the skin (self only, donors only, or available to everyone)
      • If donors only, I'm more than willing to split donations when someone requests your skin
  • Improve model animations
    • There are a few models that have less than stellar animations (Looking at Future Trunks' attack animations, just as an example.)
  • Improving existing textures
    • This is probably the easiest job. If you're more artistically inclined, you can edit the skins to your liking and if they appear to be an improvement, they will replace the existing ones.
      • Easy jobs: Making the colors right, adding some texture to areas of the model that lack it.
  • Improving models
    • If you have a bit of experience in 3d modeling, you can make improvements to the geometry / UV mapping of existing models. 
      • The super saiyan hair for most characters is far from perfect, just as an example.
      • Some models lack collision shapes. That's an easy improvement.
  • Particle effects
    • Create your own auras or improve existing particles.
      • Anyone that makes a particle effect that is good enough to be put into the game will be given access to the +aura and -aura commands.

  3. Until then, you can take a look at Broly / FT / Krillin to see how they're done. It's a good starting point. Or you can look at the auras and try to reverse engineer them.

  4. Hey adam a bug i just had happen to me. We went to final battle, and i was gohan. I was waiting to destroy a tree and i just poofed. no death just gone, and then we lost =[ but was weird.

  5. if you seriously think about the map project, than:
    1) make this map on sc2, since one day wc3 will die.
    2) instead off adding stuff fix the remaining bugs. The map is still crashing.
    3) get a new bot to host this map. Since its annoying to get into the game.
    4) more balance with power levels and skills. Like destruction disc. 50% is way to much.
    5) I advise you to make Dragon Ball Z Tribute Elite wikipedia page. For a simple reason, so new people can learn something about the map. So we can read full skill description. Like I still dont know how many dmg dose BigBangKameha since you never added how much X of his INT is converted to dmg.

    I'm supriced tbh that this map is still alive and there is more and more people playing it. But instead off adding stuff, focus on what you got and fix it. To bad Ogrim is not around to make some good animation.

    1. I'm still feeling like some aspects of the game need flawing:

      1) a way for evils to regenerate without fountain (senzu type of regeneration). I counter every evil by just destroying fountains because senzus are available only to Z fighters.

      2) Babidi gains less exp while his minions are alive(near him), that is not logical because of how exp system already works. please fix or explain if it is intended to be like that.

      3) I think Bebi's Body control should prove more useful inside his allies:
      - Alternative bonuses while inside allies
      - Half of his stats as bonus stats (shouldn't affect early game much unless there are some crazy people who get bebi 1k before tournament)

      4) Early game is too impacting sometimes. Like for example cell bebi combo, they can get both sick stats before and after tourny, if they keep it up they are just destined to win the game. Maybe more alternative ways in early game or more rewarding chaining at early stages ?

      5) I feel like Future Androids have been nerfed too much, as well as Dr.Gero. U don't see much gero anymore and future androids need feed to be good in game. There is no reason to go past lv120 for them. At least that would be a good thing to fix.

    2. Possible solutions:

      1) Well, giving evil's an item that maybe heals just mana ? most of them need just mana to get back to full health. Though lategame there wont be a big problem with mana anymore. SO I think they should have sometihng like an evil senzu for themselves as well. Or give Korin the ability to drop a senzu each time he's kileld.

      3) Alternative ways: Bonus HP/Mana regen while bebi in ur body, bebi regenerates as well (make it half of the founatin regen speed)
      -Lifesteal (as strong as gero's)

      4) Buffing early creeps' stat gain from each creep ?

      5) 19 should give gero 65% stats instead of 50% . Gero is useless already, at 100% stat gain he was a problem, at 50% not a problem at all. I think 65% would be a bit of a buff, 75% would probably make him a problem. Well I think it all depends on how people let gero's 19 Farm. with this kind of stat gain they have a chance to stop him.

    3. Gero is actually still good. He can heal android 19/cell/bebi/android 17/18/13/14/15/super13/ultra13super17/cooler
      If other evil heroes had the life steal, Gero would lose his uniqueness.
      Increasing the stats gain would change the game so much, especially at start where players might chain for first minute or two to the upper left side of the map. This change would favor good more than it does evil.

    4. 17's still amazing if played right, easy to rush with at level 30 do to 18's stun and combined with photon ray at 45, pretty destructive.

      Bebi's body control should be a varied stat instead of a 325 set amount, but no more than 20-30% because 50% is a tad overboard due to bebi's farming ability.

      The whole babidi gaining less exp with his minions near is pretty moot because they shouldn't be near him except when summoned, unless you like getting those 15 min buus instead of 8-9min ones.(Also Turles' tree mooches exp)

      The early game thing can work pretty well with anyone, although it might be a bit better for a bebi+anything, but that's easily fixable by hitting level 3(or 6) with gohan quickly and rushing them.

      For the senzu problem, I agree with korin dropping a senzu each time he's killed. (changing the way korin is made, by starting him out weak, and increasing his stats like the mobs on the map do to the infinitum.

      I don't know why you want to buff gero, he's still one of the best farmer's in the game, for me at least.

    5. 17 is pretty balanced right now in my opinion, super 17's cds might be a little bit short but he is alrgiht.

      Bebi's take over will be rworked soon anyway

      For the evil's mana i dont think they need senzus. What i think they need is a support character with mana/hp regen aura.

      Gero is pretty good support char i like to play him when there is a decent player who i can heal.

  10. I dont understand one thing. PLEASE EXPLAIN.
    On 90lvl geros #19 gain 150% power level BUT when i release him he is still 100% (to gero) and cost 8000 mp. So where is sense of 150% if stats are still same as 100%?

  11. When i were android 17, suddenly my stats were halfed and my health with both went down to almost zero. It happened when android 18 was in hell, right after 17 entered future. Haven't got a replay, since the game crashed anyhow

  12. Gotenks is bugged, fusion sometimes doesn't retain the items you had as individual Goten and Kid Trunks, and vice versa (as in Gotenks' items are lost when you defuse). Also the little L shaped thing where the Z Sword is that hides the units in the game is a bit close to Namek, they may be nukeable (haven't tested)

    And also, Gotenks' HP and Mana isn't usually reflective of the HP and Mana of the individuals, sometimes it is though. If you had half HP unfused, used a Senzu as Gotenks and then defused, you go back to the original health before you first fused, and if you fuse again then Gotenks has partial health/mana.

    2. First, learn proper english no offence. Secondly if your stuck in hell with turles for most of the game you will stay at the same multiplier which is a very big setback for turles so I think he needs someplace to plant his tree at.

  18. I think Gero/17's absorbtion should be changed so they actually recover health if they are hit by spells, just like in the comics. That Gero only recovers by fighting doesn't really make sense with the fact that he's a support character.
    Giving 17 this could overpower him, but it could be changed so they can't move while absorbing.

  19. Don't know if its supposed to be like it, but Turles tree keeps on producing fruit even if he doesn't eat the 2.6 or 2.7 power level fruit. That way, he can actually go even higher than his supposed limit, if he waits eating the fruit.

  25. Time for some serious talk.

    Adam, Gotenks is not a joke anymore to me. Played a game recently where i dominated the game, took tournament, dominated more, took all sagas and boom. me with 6k int with stat modding vs a gotenks with his 9k str 9k int stat mod who just happened to pass by from heaven. I feel like this needs some fixing, because you can't counter gotenks heaven farm (face it, we can't reveal the whole map and scouters break, heaven tickets are easier to get than hell ones.)

  33. blehhh androids 17 & 18 are still broken multiple games they ended up losing half stats at like lvl 50 or 75 multipler... Not only that one time i fused after this happened, and had negative stats, so i couldnt be killed, until i leveled up and my stats went positive. No replay sory

  34. Is it not possible to use the Android 13 or Gotenks triggers for Super 17?
    They seem like they'd be the same other than tweaking of the values.

    At the moment, you can force Team 1 to always lose via Final battle if your allies killed 17/18 enough times for negative stats. Negative stats takes 0 damage from lava, so in the end, Team 1 would die via lava without ever fighting them. They cannot die.

    In this game around like 12 mins in or so bebi enters cells body.

    I was playing as goten/kid trunks and at some point while i was gotenks, bebi went into cell while he was still going after his last android. When cell got his android and was transformed into perfect cell, bebi got transported to where characters are stored during game play that aren't in use. I.E., goten and kid trunks while i was gotenks. So while bebi was there he lowered gotens health and took his body. So he was goten in this unreachable spot while i was gotenks. I then killed myself i believe, and went back to kids to farm gregory/bubbles and noticed bebi inside of goten. Didn't immediately do anything about cause i wasn't sure so i continued farming momentarily and noticed my stats going back and forth from 0 to regular on goten. So i revived to see if suiciding would fix it, and when i did it fixed it for bebi, but my goten then was sent to heaven but his character picture was gone, and i couldn't select him or fuse with him or anything. As wels as kid trunks no longer received stats but could gain levels. Weird glitch. Sucked for me, but interesting.

  42. last gam i pyld in normal mode in team evil, android 17 and 18 left early in the game. after some tym we saw that der stats wer negative and nothign cud dmg dem and dey cudnt move also. since it ws normal mode, we won the game as lava killed oder team ppl

  45. So, Hello Adam =)

    As I promised, here's a conclusion of current problems in the map and a list of suggestions to follow.

    1) The current Bebi is broken. He's overpowered, he crashed the games, his last transformations turns him instantly into a godzilla on whom I pissed last week (aka useless). So, without further ado, I'll list a fix for him right under this point.

    - A total rework is requested. First of all, controlling an enemy hero overall is already a huge imbalance. Removed
    - Finger blitz barrage needs a nerf. Instead of bebi moving while casting, he channels the spell in a CONE, like that in this video http://youtu.be/qEFVHEsabak?t=32s . It should drain mana and have a low cooldown, instead of being a one time cast ability.
    - So, in honor of Finger blitz changes, you would have to remove the summon Tsfuru-Jin thing, and instead make the new finger blitz instantly turn creeps into his minions, but with a penalty, he wont gain exp for that.
    - Golden Bebi would be cool if his Galick was something more special than vegeta's (not the damage buff, on the other hand though: you could just buff the passive on it since lv9 kame > lv 7 Galick)

    2) Future Androids are hella rigged, because of them I died to numerous sagas and on top of that, once they fuse that's even worse as their stats grow immensely. In many games, where Z fighters controlled the game, 17 just fuses late (remember the super 13 thing ?) and suddenly gets 1-2k more stats than the strongest player in game. On top of that, his spells are seriously strong.
    - Change the way you made them, let them have the same system gotenks has, im sure it would fix the delay.
    - Fix Future Hell Fighter 17 appearing, so they don't have a chance to late fuse.
    - If a player chooses to become super 17, he shud have 150% stats instead of 200%.
    - Destructo Disk on 18 (I am gonna speak about destructo in a moment)

    3) Krillin
    - Destructo Disk is frankly seriously overpowered level 1 spell. in my honest opinion, it should do 8%/17%/26%/34%/42%/50% damage. That way krillin will have to have better mana and levels to even cast this ability. The mana cost is perfectly fine for such an outrageous spell.

    4) 13 seems kind of underpowered to me because of his lategame, maybe buff, give him a PvP ability or maybe a support ability, like his shield could be castable on his allies instead of draining his own mana ?

    5) Exp system is very abusable
    - the current exp system can give u around 600% bonus exp if done correctly.
    - To fix it, I think shared exp is not a good idea but also removing it will be even worse. my idea is to make exp shareable with diminishing returns.
    - the new Experience algorithm that I propose is following: Experience divided by players + 25%/50% (which suits you).
    - So in the old days the xp was indeed divided by the amount of players, if there were 2 , they got 50% exp both. Now they get 100% exp both. If there were 3, they got 33,3%, now they will get 100%. That's unbalanced a bit, with the new algorithm the following would happen(xp / # heroes + 50%):
    1 Hero = 100%; 100% overall
    2 Heroes = 100%, 100%; 200% overall
    3 Heroes = 3 * 83,3%; 250% overall
    4 Heroes = 4 * 75%; 300% overall
    5 Heroes = 5 * 70%; 350% overall
    - In the end it will still be beneficial to chain with whole team, but not as much as it used to be.

    1. 6) Agility is retarded.
      - You should increase the amount of agility you need to increase your armor. The current system just doesn't allow us to do much damage lategame, people can stat mod 6/0/6 and the agility they gain from chains is just all they need to bump their armor up really high.
      - My suggestion would be, a player would need at least 5000 Agility to be able to block 75% damage. That way stat modding only strength and intelligence will be a huge risk.

      7) Saga rewards should be increased.
      - Remember the 17 topic ? Our leader fell behind pretty fast thanks to him. Maybe if you buff saga rewards, you won't need to change 17 much.
      - With increased saga rewards, you decrease the chance of average players beating good players. The game is not punishing enough in my opinion.

      Currently I'm out of ideas and thoughts, kinda tired. Listed some of the most important things.

    I believe this is the game they're talking about.

    You aren't supposed to chain together all game long because you will hardly get any stats. Stats come mostly from the creep kills, not from the levels. Levels barely give you any in comparison. You actually get more stats throughout the game if you didn't chain together. At start it is a good idea, but beyond that, it's best to spread out.

    Bebi's gallick gun does more damage than Kamehameha ( 18.20xInt vs 18.00xInt ) and at 11.00 CD seconds CD vs 16.00 seconds CD. What were you saying anyways?

    If anything, Bebi's Gallick gun deals more damage than Kamehameha and at lower intervals, meaning you'd do 7 x 18.2 x Int in 66 seconds ( first spell doesn't count towards cooldown ) vs Kamehameha's 5 x 18.0 x Int ( first spell doesn't count towards cooldown )

    You can do 127.4 x Int via Super gallick in the same time Kamehameha deals 90.0 x Int ( assuming everything hits )

    In 66 seconds, 1 spell initially+4 kames in 66 seconds ( 4x16=64seconds though )
    while you get 1 spell initially+6 super gallicks in 66 seconds

    You're supposed to be chaining creeps while killing the sagas to actually make killing them worth it. If not, other people can catch up in stats by chaining. If you're spending all that time hunting the other team, you can also get outstated easily.

    The range on Destructo Disk gets increased with each level. If you have some sort of prediction, you can time the hits really far away, but it'll still depend on the enemy player's reaction time.

    Bebi's spells are currently fine as they are. You can dodge it and he can't auto attack during the animation.

    Gohan wasn't ~5800 to 6200 all stats by 22minutes10seconds in 2.500x for some reason in that game.

    Playhard2winn, KainDurain, and one other person valiantly slew them. The players on Team 1 didn't chain as much as they could have and thus they were severely understated. Those three players are easily better than those on Team 1. Playhard2winn was multitasking fairly well and he did some amazing jukes that led him to victory.

    Vegeta (I think this was the player who was talking in the images in that rar, but I'm not certain of it ) was in heaven for most of the latter half of the game.
    Turles farmed more stats, but he wasn't at max multiplier yet ( who seemingly has 50% more stats than Vegeta while only at 1.900x )

    Please don't change the agility stuff. It's been years in the works to get it down perfectly as it is now. Any changes easily tilts the game towards one of the two Teams.

    The exp system is meant to encourage players to play together and be friendly, not to discourage them from doing so. It's also fine as it is. Long term, it's actually bad to chain together. There's a diminishing return effect as the game progresses.

    Anyone with low agility and high STR/INT is going to have stronger nukes while they sacrifice their armor. They do make it up for higher HP and higher regen rates ( 10000 STR = 100 HP/second ).
    Your overall EHP might be higher or lower in some cases, but you will always be doing more damage per physical attack.

    4.0-4.0-4.0 can beat 6.0-0.0-6.0 in the late game/ultra late game.

    Vegeta went 3.0-3.0-6.0 so he ended up getting one shotted.

    10000-7000-10000 is similar to 7000-10000-10000, but the former is better for meleeing and early game tanking.

  48. you can chose auras, skins and such. For example you can get an aura with hearts, and and all black character. Im not sure if theres anymore than that, but these benefits from donating do not give you and extra boost or help in the game. It is only meant for fun and to make you stronger or anything. Hope i helped a tid bit ^^

    1. There are times when the creeps all stutter ( Warcraft III limitation ) and can't get near or close enough for the XP range when Man Kind Destruction is being cast that Buu ends up losing out on potential XP.

  52. Small noteworthy bugs/things

    -When fused upon vegitto and carry items in inventory they dissapear when you fuse into vegito or gogeta
    -you can stall game by staying in buu's stomache
    -when your in non metal cooler form when base is destroyed his supernova sometimes doesn't go off or goes off and deals no dmg

  60. How about adding Bills, the God of Destruction from the latest dbz movie? He could be after or before Omega Shenron. Anyway, just an optional addition to the map that might be fun.

    Here is few suggestions too:

    Have every single character have new ability: "Charge Up". This would be something you'd have to cast 4-5 seconds while standing still, then you'd get buff that would last 4-5 seconds and during that your next spell would gain 2x more damage and also cost 2x or 3x more mana. <-- I think this would be nice addition, considering what have we seen in the Anime itself. There is many epic moments when they load a skill for a quite while to release more epic blasts. :P

    Besides, this improvement would make people who are less powerful in the game to be able to effect somewhat still, only if they get to load their blast first ofc. For example. take a fight from the anime vegeta vs perfect cell (final flash moment). Cell was stronger at the moment, but got freaked out by the blast Vegeta loaded.

    Shouldn't be too hard to implement either. Just add a check if the Character has "Charge up" buff on and add more damage to next spell and add more mana cost.

    1. The charge up idea would never work, the enemy could just run away while you are charging up and then your buff would be for nothing.

    2. Actually it would, its ment to be used if you have friends backing you up or if you will manage to caught enemy off-guard. The Buff itself wouldn't disappear after moving, only after the duration expires, giving you limited time to react though. <-- It would measure your timing.

      Anyways the main idea of having it would be to make beams and blasts more recognizeable in the end game, especially for those who fall behind in stats, they could still participate the fight by blasting with charged up spells.

If you were left behind stat wise and you start chargin the enemy who is higher stat wise could kill you in those 4-5 secs while you are charging, its pretty hard right now to catch kiting enemy, and this wouldnt make it easier, better would be an option late game to choose from various upgrades to one or more of your spells like % penetration or +%dmg or so, charging would only slow the game, imagine you charge for 4-5 secs a cell runs away teleports away and you cant even follow him lol

  62. Could you give Tao a 0.050x multiplier at levels 10-20-30-40-50-60-70-80-90-100-110-120-130-140 ?
    Could you enable Tao to gain multipliers from killing units past 2.300x ? These would make Tao less of a hit or miss type hero.
    He'd still progress fairly slowly compared to all the other heroes.

    Could you also give double the amount for killing a fusion character ( Vegetto/Gogeta/Fat Gogeta )?

  64. What about giving Tao a +10 hp/second regeneration at start and then +2 hp/second regeneration every 10 levels until level 150? And when Tao is level 200+, start lowering his regeneration by 2 hp/second every 10 levels from 210 to 350? This would make him have his regeneration back to normal. Yeah, he would keep that +10 hp/second as a buff by level 350. It's similar to how Broly has a +10hp/second. It's nothing big in any sort of way, right?

    Rather than high % critical and high damage multiplier early on, a 19% evasion, lower % critical at lower levels, and lower damage multiplier at lower levels would be more beneficial to him. His max level passive would remain the same though. These two things could make him a lot more playable in the early game.
